FREQUENTLY  ASKED  QUESTIONS

[Q] Who is the Real Healer?

[A] Undoubtedly the unseen powers of Nature. Irrespective of what great achievements some people may have made regarding health, if we "deduct" the powers of Nature, what would be the result? Simply, Nothing! Only serious people, either from alternative or western medicine, truly, realise that they act as mediums and not as healers.

[Q]  There is a general misunderstanding that Shiatsu is a form of   Japanese massage technique. There are also books, websites, etc that do confuse SHIATSU with massage. Is  SHIATSU in any way a massage technique?

[A]  Absolutely not. Irrespectively, even if it is a hands-on technique that somehow looks (to any  deceptive eye) like a massage technique. When someone receives SHIATSU from a genuine SHIATSU PRACTITIONER the feeling has NOTHING to do with pressure or massage. THE PRACTITIONER IS CONTACTING DIRECTLY WITH THE RECEIVER`S KI. SO SHIATSU IS IN NO WAY SUBJECT TO THE JUDGEMENT OF ANYONE'S EYESIGHT. SIMPLY IT HAS TO BE FELT. There are many hands-on techniques which are not referred to as massage, and so I don`t see any reason for SHIATSU to be the exception.

[Q] How can someone distinguish a GENUINE SHIATSU PRACTITIONER FROM A NON-PRACTITIONER?

[A] Firstly, it needs to be mentioned that, not all the practitioners, that deal with KI are necessarily SHIATSU PRACITIONERS. THE TASK OF A SHIATSU PRACTITIONER IS TO ALLOW GROUNDING OF KI TO HAPPEN, SIMULTANEOUSLY IN HIS/HER BODY  AND THE RECEIVER`S TOO. SO IF SOMEONE TRIES TO PUSH A PRACTITIONER (WHEN GIVING SHIATSU), THE PRACTITIONER WILL NOT MOVE/LOOSE BALANCE . ESTABLISHING GROUNDING IS THE PURPOSE OF SHIATSU. GROUNDING PAVES THE WAY TO HEALTH. HOWEVER ABSENCE  OF GROUNDING LEADS PEOPLE TO DEGENERATION.

[Q] What should people choose, western medicine or alternative medicine?

[A] Firstly, as a HUMAN BEING, and secondly as a SHIATSU PRACTITIONER, I believe that every human being has the right to access everything, including types of medicine. However as a practitioner, I would like to advise people not to reject anything. Irrespectively, if there is an increasing number of people coming back to alternative medicine, people should not underestimate the importance of western medicine. All practices are essential for the human benefit. After all, the aim of all types of medicine/therapies is nothing but human benefit. All practices have their range of capability, and also their limitations as well. There is no single practice to claim that it can achieve everything, on the matter of health. Every practice has its own role to play, whether great or small. People need to know, that there are many ways to be cured. They only need to find the right one for them. By not referring a patient in western medicine, it is not wise, for an alternative practitioner when he/she knows there are better chances, for a patient to be healed in the field of western medicine. The same thing can happen for a western practitioner too.
